I'm very into music

I LOVE music and everyday I have a song that explains how I am feeling that day. Tonight it is big girls don't cry by Fergie.

Big Girls Don't Cry

The smell of your skin lingers on me now
You're probably on your flight back to your home town
I need some shelter of my own protection, baby
To be with myself and center
Clarity, peace, serenity

I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to do with you
It's personal, myself and I
We've got some straightenin' out to do

And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket
But I've got to get a move on with my life
It's time to be a big girl now
And big girls don't cry
Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry

The path that I'm walkin', I must go alone
I must take the baby steps 'til I'm full grown, full grown
Fairy tales don't always have a happy ending, do they?
And I foresee the dark ahead if I stay

I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to with you
It's personal, myself and I
We've got some straightenin' out to do

And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket
But I've got to get a move on with my life
It's time to be a big girl now
And big girls don't cry

Like the little school mate in the school yard
We'll play jacks and Uno cards
I'll be your best friend and you'll be mine
Valentine

Yes, you can hold my hand if you want to'
Cause I want to hold yours too
We'll be playmates and lovers
And share our secret worlds

But it's time for me to go home
It's getting late, dark outside
I need to be with myself, and center
Clarity, peace, serenity

I hope you know, I hope you know
That this has nothing to do with you
It's personal, myself and I
We've got some straightenin' out to do

And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket
But I've got to get a move on with my life
It's time to be a big girl now
And big girls don't cry
Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry

Where did summer go?

Just last night I was blogging about how nice it was. Today has been the complete opposite, I woke up with a headache, its gloomy outside, all clouds and no sun, freezing. It's a reminder that fall/winter in Colorado is near. I always seem to become a little more depressed as the weather starts to turn. Getting out the house is going to become a challenge, ten layers of clothing on 4 children and myself, loosening the straps on the car seats to fit all those layers of clothing, using 4-wheel drive to get around in a foot of snow, bulky boots, muddy floors, tired grumpy kids who can't seem to get all their energy out, and one depressed mommy who always seems to miss Louisiana when it's cold in Colorado.

We do live in a house now with a lot more space so this winter may be different. I will keep the kids busy with indoor crafting, children's museum, malls, and all other museums. We need to start planning our vacation and figure out where we want to go and what dates. There is also an up side to winter time in Colorado. Tony will get to spend most of his time in the mountains snow boarding, he will get to go hunting, Trenton will start snow boarding lessons while daddy boards, my family will come to visit so my brother and dad can hit the slopes and well my mom and I will focus on spending way to much money in all the shops in Vail *ahem thanks daddy for my belt and pants that I don't fit into anymore and you spent a fortune on and that brand new off the wall snow board you bought me that I used a total of maybe an hour lol. I did promise to put that snowboard into use this winter so we shall see. But maybe next time you can get me a treadmill :) I will also spend my winter at the malls, yes I will let the kids play I promise not to spend the entire time shopping! My shopping buddy moved this month. So if you live in Colorado and lurve to shop and spend at least one day a week at the mall, hit me up!

This is Colorado though and the weather is so unpredictable, so tomorrow it will probably be sunny and 100 out.

O Summer Time!

Summer Time is fun time! Even if that means making a mess
Cheers to our ice cream!

Friends and Family
Tonight while our two boys were out playing with their friend (far left)
The ice cream man went driving by!
Daddy jumped on big brothers dirt bike,
stopped the ice cream man, and
saved the night!

Weekend is going great!

Last night after we put both boys in bed
Tony and I laid out on our deck and looked at the stars and talked about them.
I got a lesson on the milky way.
It was very relaxing and slow paced, but FREEZING.
This morning Tony let me sleep in a little and decided he is going to take the boys up to his office after they go cash his check so I can get ready for a friends Pampered Chef party.
I could go crazy and buy a ton of stuff.
I think I am going to budget myself though!
The house is also a mess from working all week.
I am an in home childcare provider for those of you that didn't know.
Toys are everywhere and I didn't sweep up after all kids left last night so there are *ahem* crumbs on my floor!
We made muffins yesterday.
The love of hardwood floors throughout your entire main floor!
I guess before my shower I will sweep up and put all toys away.
When does my cleaning lady come again, O that's right not until the 12th darn it!
have a good day my 5 followers!

Im in freaking tears

If any of you have ever read MckMama's blog you will know how completely real this girl is, I don't know her personally but today she posted this and lead me to this. Tony and I have struggled a lot in our relationship and her post really hit home to me. Thanks MckMama, it is just what I needed to read about today. I am very sure when Tony walked in the door tonight I would have been all over him complaining about my day and why is it he's not making me happy and the usual stuff. I have been trying really hard lately not to depend on him to determine how my day is and your blog has inspired me to do what I thought was right for the outcome I am looking for!

GREAT DAY

I forgot to take pics though!
I had a playdate at my house today and we all had a great time.
Kids got along well, no fighting until the last few minutes before I had to make a mad dash to give Trenton a shower and rush him to school lol.
I love my group of friends!
We are all from all over the US,
All have things in common,
most of us only have boys
a couple have girls, who give our boys some opposite sex interaction,
we are all drama free now that we got rid of a few members
I just couldn't ask for a better group of friends!
I also secretly hope they all start blogging so we can get to know each other a little more!
Shhh! lol even though I know a couple of them will read this :)
I can barely keep my eyes open now!
O and that amazing Grill I posted about a little while back,
I used it for the first time by myself today
I did burn the hot dogs a little, but they were still yummy and none of the kids cared
Okay time to get kids cleaned up

Trenton's first day of Kindergarten

Monday August 24th was Trentons first day of Kindergarten at Thimmig Elementary school. Trenton goes to school from 12:30-3:30 M-F. When I dropped him off yesterday he was very excited and couldn't wait to get out of the car (i'm always early to everything and were always sitting in the car waiting lol). It wasn't an emotional day for me, I got to prepare last year when he went to pre-school M,W,F for a few hours.

Not MY child Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

This is my first Not My Child Monday post! I'm going to talk about some past things my children have NOT done :)

No it was NOT my child who pulled his pants down in wal-mart. No I was NOT the mother who couldn't quit laughing long enough to pull her child's pants back up before all of the innocent shoppers had a chance to watch my child slinging his penis around, no not my child or me!

There is no way it could have been my child that made a bus driver stop and stare bc he saw a two yr old peeing over the side of a balcony. No not my child, never!

It was not my child who flushed toys down the potty causing our entire apartment and the apartment downstairs to be flooded. Not my child!

What about that little boy last week who peed on burger kings floor, OMG that was NOT my child!

Playdough Fun

I have been been wanting to make play dough for a while now
Today we finally got around to making it
These are our ingredients
1 cup flour
1/4 cup salt
2 tbsp, cream of tartar
(the smaller container of cream of tartar only makes about 2 batches, so buy a bigger container if you want to make multiple batches)
1 envelope unsweetened kool-aid pouch
1 cup water
1 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions:
mix flour, salt, tartar, koolaid and water in a medium saucepan
stir in oil
mix over medium heat 3-5 mins or until all of your dough pulls away from pan and forms a ball
it kinda reminded me or scrambling eggs for some reason lol
This is what it will look like in the beginning
then it will get lumpy as you stir

Then it will start to form a ball
your almost done :)
Knead dough until soft

We made 4 colors today
red, blue, purple, and orange which looks kinda yellow in my pic

And an action shot with my two boys and their friend playing

All I had to buy
that I didn't already have in bulk from sams
was the koolaid and cream of tartar
only cost me 5.00
and it made a TON
I will look for cream of tartar at sams so we can make a few more colors

Best craigslist purchase ever

I budgeted 200.00 for a new grill

I was just going to pick one up from you know one of those men places LOL!

But they were all very plain for 200.00

I was playing around on craigslist and found this grill

It's a 1000.00 grill and I got it for 200.00

AMAZING!!!!!!

Way better than any 200.00 grill I would've bought brand new
It even came with a full tank of propane and a new set of utensils all worth 100.00 its self
Now to many days we will spend BBQing

msnbc says "Playgroups can fuel mama drama"

Every since moving to Colorado I have joined in on organized playgroups, even organized one myself. I always found it to be a very enjoyable experience.
Until a couple months ago.
A lot of mama drama started going on and I lost and let go of a ton of my friends.
It was a life lesson.
I stumbled across this article a few minutes ago and wanted to share with everyone!

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26550114/ns/health-kids_and_parenting/

Meet Us!

All of us
The boys smelling something stinky on our walk

Mommy went to town and came back and the boys built a fort

on one of grandpas choppers

Tony and I doing my favorite thing in the world!
A bonfire

I am a country girl from Louisiana where both my boys were born. There dad Tony was born In California but we met in Arizona 7 years ago. These are pictures from our last vacation to Louisiana to see family and let me get away from the city for a little while.

My Very First Post

Were Moving!
FINALLY!!!
We will move into our first house this Friday the 7th.
As exciting as it is, it's also very frustraing.
We need to be out of the apartment tomorrow but Tony says the 5th, whichever, we will need to stay in a hotel for a couple days.
Yesterday I thought I was going to get to sleep in after packing almost the entire place myself, Tony was on board and getting up with the boys, I hear Tony yelling Konstance come here!
O CRAP! What NOW?
Our bathroom toilet was overflowing, and come to find out later in our day it was overflowing the entire night.
So at first we didn't think it was overflowing for to long and Tony headed out to the office with both boys in tow to get a shop vac, the old lady downstairs as we like to call her met him outside saying how did you not notice your "stool" was overflowing all night and my apartment is ruined.
Well lady we actually got to sleep an entire night.
Yes our 2 1/2 yr old still wakes up at night, so when he actually does sleep through the night, so do we.
After waiting hours for maintence and carpet and plumbers, we got the news that a piece was broke on the "stool" causing it to keep overflowing.
So our padding under the carpet had to be removed and even today I am left with carpet pulled up and a fan blowing on it.
(O and the carpet ppl told us the lady downstairs kept saying she was going to kill herself and all kinds of crazy stuff, so I am so glad we are moving)
It's really going to suck tomorrow trying to move everything out of the apartment with carpet people trying to fix everything.
So it looks like for a couple days we will be living at a hotel with all our belongings in our cars and on a trailer.
It's all worth it right?
